Researchers from @jhu.edu have created a novel database structure that allows investigators anywhere to more easily study multiple types of #cancer data—including laboratory results, genetic sequencing, and imaging data—in one setting.

A collaborative team from @ricecompsci.bsky.social and @jhu.edu, backed by several NSF grants, has developed new algorithms to help quantum computers keep working even when noise is present, aiming to test how resilient quantum systems can be under realistic and even hostile conditions. Reuse & renew ♻️ To identify safety issues before they impact critical applications, @jhu.edu and @msftresearch.bsky.social researchers (including @danielkhashabi.bsky.social) have developed a renewable, sustainable framework for evaluating #LLMs that requires minimal human effort to run.

My son showed me one of the overflow vulnerabilities found in FFmpeg by Google/Deepmind’s security AI agents. And it was legit. I was thinking about how hard these things are to find, and at least this one didn’t seem deep — just required enormous focus and patience to read all that code.
