I think one of my biggest flexes as a Magic player is playing people's decks that they say never do the thing or never come close to winning and proceeding to do the thing and/or win with them. EDH, CanLander, Oathbreaker, almost doesn't matter what format. Lemme try and crack your "bad" deck 😈

It's been single digits to low teens for almost 2 months straight here so I made myself a chicken tortilla soup today in the crock pot and god damn did I not realize how much I needed this. Skimped on making the tortilla strips and just used some tortilla chips we had at home and it still whipped.

Did a quick tally of my games from 2025, need to finish inputting everything into a spreadsheet to get more dynamic info. But in 2025, I played 112 games of EDH, almost all of which were in person. I only played 2 or 3 online games. I won 60 of those 112, for a GW% of 53.57%

Playing pip-heavy 3-4 color decks with no fetches or shocks might be my favorite way to jam. Budget mana bases are still solid, even if you *occasionally* can't double spell in a way that's *optimal*. Anyway, 3-mana legends with 3 non-hybrid pips make me happy, send skeet

You know... There's a world in which I ditch the worst mana rocks in Talrand for these two. The rocks don't trigger Talrand, though they do allow for more spells on later turns. These at least: - secure a land drap - get a shuffle - make a body - gain some life Forever tinkering... 🤔🤔🤔

Albums that I really appreciated this year. Architects made a super solid return to form this year. I Prevail ditched their clean vocalist and wrote a surprisingly solid and heavy album. I had written this band off. nothing,nowhere. was perfect as always. Silvertein's dual album is chef's kiss 👌
