While saying they want to "preserve nature" the Conservative Party have just pledged to scrap the Climate Change Act. This makes no sense. How do more floods, more droughts, and rising temperatures "preserve" nature? That's what scrapping the Act will lead to.

I’ve had no chance to see the Glossy Ibis around the corner from me so I was really pleased to get to Slimbridge and find there was one there… but not while I was there. Consolation of seeing several common cranes. #worcsbirds

We need new media ownership laws, for the sake of our democracy. Alongside this brilliant move to involve more of us in the elections of the future.

More to come yet, maybe the next election will reverse the decades long trend of falling participation in our general elections. Taxation without representation is wrong. So is representation without taxation - foreign billionaires own most of our media.

A 2% tax on wealth of £10m and above wouldn’t scratch the surface, no rich person will go hungry….but it would raise enough money to ensure no child goes hungry or lacks a bed to sleep in - we end poverty in our country by taking a tiny sum from a tiny number of very wealthy people
