Maybe Absolutely Abigail is 20 today. And I’m stuck in the hospital for far less amazing reasons.

Day Five: Nope.

Apparently when a chest tube output is <100 it can be pulled & a person can go home. Some folks chests are overachieving assholes, however, and are still putting out >400 four days later.

Day 4 in the hospital. Transplant nurses still rock. Chest tubes decidedly do NOT.

I’m reading James Baldwin right now and he pointed out this problem so clearly 75 years ago; it appears nothing much has changed. We’ve got to do better.

If you ever need hospital care post surgery, the transplant floor is where the best nurses are, hands down. (I am ok)

Reading the complete LotR for the first time. Subject to change hourly, but my first impression is that JRRT can both have given us one of the Great Stories AND also badly needed an editor who could stand up to him.

I cannot say this loud enough: CHATGPT IS NOT A LAWYER!!!! The issues AI is causing in litigation are astronomical. It’s costing insane amounts of time & frustration which in turn costs everyone—and even worse—it’s clogging up already backlogged courts with frivolous, lawless garbage.
