We just dropped off twelve years worth of secular homeschooling books at the library. So much time and learning. The librarians were delighted with our donation, but I feel a little empty now. An entire era is over. My only baby goes to college in September and my work here is done. 😞

As a director of theater, I have to say that I am really enjoying the return to actual stagecraft for these Olympic ceremonies. Staging, choreography, music, costume design. They are the best we’ve had in quite sometime because they’ve gone back to the arts instead of just leaning on technology.

The progressive Mormons who keep futility believing that if they stay they can make changes from within are going to have to admit eventually that the brethren keep giving very clear signals that they have fully embraced far right conservatism. It’s foundational to the doctrine and not going away.

My sister made a dream code for my dead mother’s Animal Crossing island, so against my better judgement, I just visited. I was fine until I turned a corner and… ran into my mother? I didn’t like it. At all. It made me weirdly furious. No to this dead parent digitalization movement. It’s… no.
