This is a health and safety issue for both Jenny and the dogs. This is unacceptable. Mushers plan meticulously and depend on those drop bags for SURVIVAL.

Today is a soft closure at work so only about 8 or so of us will be in today. Tomorrow is pi day and at least 3 of us are bringing pies (I got 2). Stay tuned to see how this goes.

I’d like to point out that despite having a two week lead time and starting from a new location, at no point did the org ask for more volunteers. They could and should have.

And provide more clarity into this three judge party that makes such DRASTIC decisions. I want to run this race too, but not if it’s run by people who are going to make decisions like this.

This is why I am angry. We know it takes $30-50k to run what is often a bucket list race. Let alone the additional money for yknow...training and feeding the dogs all season. I know the race being longer this year complicates things for volunteers, but come ON. They weren't that far behind

In hindsight I should have recognized that my battery was about to die but it was fun getting stranded in Nenana for about an hour while I walked to the tribal hall and found a Chief to take care of me. I almost asked Dallas for a ride on the snowmachine but just walked instead.

It showed the same weird errors as when its too cold to start and did the same thing (won’t fire but can hear the selenoid, power but no starty) but this can be fixed with a jump. I did have my high beams and heater on for a while but that was WITH the car
