Indiana House Republicans just voted against giving you the same sales tax exemption on your utility bill that data centers have. If data centers don't have to pay the 7% sales tax, neither should you.

We talked about bills I authored & coauthored: SB 148 (Crime guns task force) & SB 69 (1977 Pension & Death Benefit). We also discussed concerning bills: SB 285 (Criminalizing homelessness), SB 4 (Optional funding of community mental health centers) & changes to SEA 1 (2025).

I thank the Administration, the EPA, the State of Indiana, the East Chicago Waterway Management District, the City of East Chicago, and our local industry partners for their collaboration in addressing the long-standing environmental legacy costs of the Grand Calumet River.

Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

Sometimes they just tell us they are weaponizing the criminal justice system to push their political agenda.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

The entire right-wing propaganda machine came after Zohran Mamdani. The president and his allies came after him. Democratic leaders, by and large, did not have his back until the last minute. He still won, turning out historic numbers and inspiring young voters. His politics can win anywhere.

WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger. Gen Z women aren't playing around.

Hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers will lose SNAP benefits TOMORROW. We're calling on Gov. Braun to keep Hoosiers from going hungry by funding Indiana food pantries throughout the federal government shutdown.

UPDATE: Two federal judges have ruled withholding SNAP benefits to be unlawful. Our caucus will continue to monitor the situation to ensure no Hoosier goes hungry due to the shutdown.
