One thing the See You Next Tuesday crew missed re: CIN anxiety: Everyone assumes that December Joe might return in time for December. Isn’t it much more likely that September Joe makes the post surgery return? Bengals can be #1 in something (The anxiety index)

You know, the Edge return was a surprise, and everyone loved it, but the AJ Lee return seems to be bringing actual joy to folk. I was hoping until he said, “You let them chant the name AJ Lee,” then I KNEW

Great “At the Table,” discussion. But Robert is 💯regarding HOU. As of today, only the top 4 AFC teams deserve seats, because to get to the SB, one has to beat at LEAST two of them. Bring on the MIN v TB discussion

Today is the long drive portion of retrieving the eldest from UConn. Being the best dad ever, I have given music control, so unfortunately I’m not making mini-best of 1989- progress. We started with one of her playlists, but transitioned into albums.

upcoming 1989 nomination process - and three songs in I'm really enjoying it. In my notes I'm calling it new-wave rock, (The Cars, Honeymoon Suite.)

Listening to Romeo Void's WARM, IN YOUR COAT and Benjamin Bossi's saxophone work really reminds me of (the limited amount of) John Zorn's work I've heard. And, no, not all Jazz saxophone sounds the same.

I am on my third 1989 album of the day, and while a little twangy for my taste, Dolly Parton's lyrics are fantastic. If one of the more generic singer-songwriter/indie-rock artists in the

Feels like a low turnout today — we’re 19 votes away from 100, and I’d estimate we usually have 10 more votes than that. And it’s kind of a close one today! If you haven’t voted, be sure to do so!

Listening to Young’s SILVER & GOLD for the Best Album polls, and while “Horseshoe Man,” was playing I started singing the lyrics to “No Surprises.” This feels like “give Neil a writing credit,” level of similarity. That or I’m some version of tone deaf.

I know this Modest Mouse compilation is a favorite of many, including the bracket host, but there’s literally another, better, album by that band already in the main tournament. In the spirit of getting a little more sonic diversity into the competition, vote for the album sung entirely in Welsh!
