I've been transcribing the D4 skill trees (and runes) before they get reworked on the 28th, and boy, as an English major, I want to just get my hands on the files and correct some of the wording.

Fun fact: I recorded this two weeks ago because my roommate puts 5-8 games on for MLB Opening Weekend, and I wanted to have an easy week so I didn't have to record and edit over baseball noises. I misjudged when that was, so I just changed the date and published as-is.

Now this is out, I'll be working on getting the affix tables settled. Expect it in the next week or so.

This one was actually pretty easy to make. A lot of the framework and inspiration was already there and just needed some tweaking and Diablo-fying. I've already edited the mana potions, so this info is outdated on release.

Gems were relatively easy, since there's only 21 abilities to juggle. Runes, on the other hand... I do have an idea of what to do for rune words, but that will come much later, once the runes are made.

Tons of changes across the classes, and a few spells. I also give a brief overview of what is to come next for the channel.

I'm so excited about this one. I'm playing a Zealot paladin in my campaign, and I frequently deal way more damage to myself than the enemies do. Or I get nearly bitten in half by a tyrannosaurus. Which we tamed, by the way. After the whole biting thing. His name is Terrence.

It's kind of sad, but I had a hard time coming up with interesting builds for this one. Necromancers are by far my favorite class in the Diablo world. I did it, but it was way harder than the others.

This class had the swingiest feelings attached to it. The class itself is fine, but some of the subclasses were just hit or miss for me. Still, this marks the middle point for the Let's Build series: only necromancer, paladin, and sorcerer to go!

@colbypoulson.bsky.social A friend and I came up with an idea to build a character strictly out of feats. Everything else is normal, but instead of a class you get a feat or ASI every level. Starting gear would be "whatever sounds balanced". Would you be interested in doing a build like that?

I realized while editing this that some of the changes I made for "balance reasons" were probably unnecessary. Spirit Guardians can go kick rocks.

When talking about this issue, I default to a single statement: intent ends where mechanics begin. Yes, hybrid cards were INTENDED to be played in monocolor decks, but so was Fire//Ice and Neurok Stealth Suit and Elbrus, the Binding Blade and Valentin, Dean of the Vein. 2/X
