1/5. We just released V2 of the ParadeDB API. Elastic-quality search and aggregates, SQL-native, and ORM-friendly. Here's how we got there:

A tale in two acts... The number of business only offering flattery for the frustrated always surprises me. I am slightly offended to qualify in their funnel. My mailbox is packed with: - fake awards - "I will write your wikipedia page and SEO for $" - I will write your biography for your money

40% of Americans still approve of Trump actions. 5% are unsure 45% is a lot. This has to tell us something about human nature, but I'm not sure what. "ppl secretly wish to be the bully?" "ppl are sheeps?" "ppl can easily accept lies?".

SWEs turning into aggressive luddites lack perspective. Originally, the point of software was supposed to offer productivity gains. Today I find LLM extremely handy to read code. If they ever become good at writing code, it will be a bummer but isn't fighting over this pointless?

I'm excited to announce the official Nullschool app is here!
earth.nullschool.net
on mobile browsers works fine, but the app is nicer. Full screen display, persistence across sessions, text size that matches device settings. Even landscape works well. And, like the website: no ads! Links below ⬇️

One generic mistake of some marketing department is that they forget that their product is actually not at the center of the life of their users. For instance confluence added a new button labelled "Rovo chat". Cryptic feature names on a minor product suck.

Illustrating my point, here's yet another political compass making the rounds. Yes, it's for fun, but what does it accomplish? It reduces opinions on a wide range of topics to 2 dimensions. To show your friends who has the purest worldview? How far do you need to go?
