Sleep tracking has accuracy difficulties when I cannot move for fear of disturbing our cat as she sleeps. Instead I lie motionless for hours contemplating why I myself have not fallen asleep yet.

Street had to be up late last night for a work changeover that went… not well, so our cat decided to curl up against my armpit since her usual “feet hammock” was unavailable

I’ve been stuck looking at the end of September for too long and need to remember other events are happening over the winter. I’m actually looking for roomspace at MFF this year for 2 if anyone has any leads.

I gotta give myself more credit. There’s a million things going on leading up to the wedding and I still got up at 4:30am to run 20mi before work. There’s no reason to beat myself up for feeling underprepared for my race >.>

The negotiation phase in a long run where you had hoped to go further and you’re bargaining with your brain and body to keep it together. One more mile and we reward ourself with ice cream. Keep on pace and we’ll upgrade to a large milkshake. Or take a 2mi cooldown and still get ice cream anyways…

Had a nice time in PA visiting family. Got to go kayaking, stayed up late drinking by a campfire, up early to run some hills (passed a bear even). The drive there and back is exhausting, trying to find energy for this week is tough.

My post-run nourishment today is going to be a lemon protein bar and a daiquiri because I have one lime left

I survived a hockey. Knees were ok, good speed and energy but was feeling less fluid. Missed a handful of passes because I didn’t have the confidence to rotate quickly. It’s a success, but I’m gonna pay for it. I can feel it already D;

Still got 5+ miles in today despite how I feel. Warm sunny and humid, not quite how as far as I wanted but I rewarded myself with an iced chai during the cooldown walk
