It’s MS awareness week and recently, @charlesspencer.bsky.social and I attended an event at the Houses of Parliament arranged by the MS Society. We were there to speak to over 140 MPs, Lords and MPs’ staff about the realities of the 150 000 people living with this devastating condition in the UK.

Student 1: “I’m only on chapter 1 and there’s a mass grave, a guy missing his *you know* and four kids that might have been human sacrifices .” Student 2: “You ARE taking a class with Amy.” (They’re talking about chapter 1 of River Kings by Cat Jarman)
