Sometimes you have something you have to finish writing and sometimes all you want is to be back in library school working on logic exercises and Python programming. For fun. (Very little of which I remember, except that it was fun, so a refresher would be in order—and also fun.)

The farther along you get in your academic career, the more you notice chains of broken citations: jr scholars attributing concepts to millennial scholars w/o acknwldgng their own constellation of references — or the elision of precursors / interlocutors exacerbated as H-indices reify recursively
