I cannot express enough how much I am falling in love with the Dragon Quest II remake. It's so special in so many ways. I LOVE THIS SERIES.

Oh. The Dragon Quest II remake is, like, MUUUCH longer than the original. It honestly makes me so happy knowing there's so much left.

I'm sure I don't need to say this because everyone knows I'm a massive Dragon Quest fangirl, but I am COMPLETELY enchanted by the Dragon Quest II remake. It just feels so magical and wonderful to play. Especially now that I've done a decent amount of grinding, the difficulty is just right for me.

I finally got the Princess of Cannock to join the party in the DQ2 remake. She joined 10 levels lower than the rest of my party, so I only intended to grind to get her up to level 30, but I've been enjoying the grinding so much that I've just kept going past that. XD

... Yeah Like, we need so much more Vivi content, every line out of her line is utter gold, and we know SO LITTLE about her, like where she even comes from, who her parents are, AND EVEN HER LAST NAME PLS FALCOM I NEED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HER PLEAAAAAAASE

I gave the Octopath 0 demo a try, and I really like what I've played! This will definitely be a wonderful game when the full release comes out.

I'm at the endgame of the Dragon Quest 2 remake now, and my playtime is over DOUBLE that of the remake of the first game. There's so much more content added here, and I still have some grinding and extra stuff to do, but I should be finished soon. I love this game 🥹💜

I'm on my third playthrough of Dragon Quest XI (I picked it back up during my depression episode yesterday because it's my perfect comfort game), and it still brings me so much joy all these years later. The magic is still there, and that's what makes it one of my favorite games of all time.

Depression always seems to be the thing that stops me from writing (or things I enjoy doing in general), and yet writing is the thing that makes it easier to deal with depression. Such a brutal cycle when I can't bring myself to do the thing I love.

For some reason, the Prince of Cannock and Princess of Moonbrooke are actually ahead of the hero in levels in DQ2 HD. Definitely the opposite of how it is in the original. XD (The hero hasn't died or lost out on EXP, either. They just seem to level up faster than him at this point somehow.)

If they had released "Dragon Warrior V" outside of Japan, people would still talk about it in the same vein as Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana. Probably would've changed the whole trajectory of the series. They really picked the worst time to stop localizing Dragon Quest games.

I'd do the thing people are doing where you share five games from your backlog, but honestly, I'm so chaotic that I don't even consider my backlog to be a "backlog." I just play whatever I'm in the mood for when I'm not fixated on Dragon Quest or Trails. XD

I LOVE DRAGON QUEST SO MUCH. Just had to throw that out there. What a fantastic series.

I found myself endeared to the scions of Erdrick. This comradery is something that I think was missing from DQIII HD-2D, and further makes me want DQIV to get remade so we can see this and more applied there.

I've spent so much time playing the DQ1 and 2 remakes since they came out that my controller has died twice in a week. That never happens. XD

I've decided to jump right into the Dragon Quest II remake, and something I already love about this game (and about the previous one) is that the remakes give the heroes personalities. Like, by talking to some NPCs, they hint at the kind of attitudes the heroes have and I love that detail.

I finished the remake of Dragon Quest I! What a time it was, too. I'll probably have to replay it a few times to really come to a proper conclusion about how I feel regarding the gameplay changes, but the narrative changes are a 10/10 for me. I love the new version of the story.

I love when I put my Falcom music playlist on shuffle and it decides to just play either all the Trails music or all the Ys music. (The latter is the relevant one in this case.)

DQ1 HD spoilers; just a warning. I totally did not expect to hear the DQ2 cave theme in this game when heading into the Weeping Isle. Wow. That genuinely caught me off-guard.

Also, I am 17 hours into DQ1 HD when the original only takes me 5 hours to beat, and I'm still unsure how much is left, given the nature of this new story. I can only imagine how much longer DQ2 is compared to the original.

Oh jeez. I'm just now realizing that I did the Golem fight in DQ1 HD without realizing the Faerie Flute was an actual usable item like it was in the original. XD For some reason, I thought it was just a key item in this version. No wonder I barely survived the fight.

I've almost hit my writing goal for the day. I'm so. Damn. Close. But Dragon Quest keeps calling to me and distracting me from my writing.

It's been at LEAST a dozen, if not more, and this number will continue to grow.
