Star Control 2: the Ur-Quan Masters. Released in 1992 by Toys For Bob, who would later become known for the Skylanders franchise. It was definitely a departure from the first game, which was a blend of turn-based strategy and top-down combat inspired by the 1962 (!) game Spacewar!

Happy 32nd anniversary to Sonic CD! The game is more open compared to other Sonic games, but I still really enjoyed the level design and it’s a thrill to play! It also introduced mainstays like Amy and Metal Sonic and has probably the best Sonic soundtrack with the Japanese version! Play it!
