Got to thinking about AI2: Nirvana Initiative. The more I think about that game, the more I think. "Wow, that game actually really sucks". It's 100% one of those VN's that values its big shocking plot twist more than a coherent narrative.

We are not going to see any major hardware advances in gaming for 5 years maybe more. Not that that means much, since we were starting to see diminishing returns on what games can achieve anyway (graphics wise). Make any hardware purchases ASAP if you haven't. It's only going to get worse.

Persona is never going to not have a high school setting and acting like Persona cannot do anything new or innovative with that kind of setting is peak ignorance because Persona 3,4 and 5 are all unique from each other despite having a high school setting.

Maybe I don't have much of a leg to stand on since I've never played a 3D Metroid game, but they just have never been able to recapture the magic of what made Metroid special - the environmental storytelling. Super Metroid tells a fantastic story, despite having no words to tell its story with.

Instead of ending Part 1 of Honkai Impact 3rd and leaving most of its cast in the ditch to only be used for nostalgia bait, they should have found a way to keep their stories going in a way that feels meaningful. Because Part 2 was not the right way to go with this game.

Male protagonist, female protagonist, none of that should ever be something that discourages someone from engaging with a story. If it does, then that shows a lack of maturity on how someone engages with media.

Just saw the Beastmaster announcement for FFXIV, and I can safely say that this game is not lasting another 5-10 years without a huge change in the way it implements content and how it's managed. I'm honestly stunned with the state of this game now as someone who played it a lot when I was younger

I thought part of that multi-year Square Enix restructure plan was to prevent shadow dropping titles randomly with no prior communication at all.

People loved to harp on HSR for the whole "black screen issue" during all of the Amphoreus storyline, but ZZZ has this problem way worse I'd say. Like look at this man, this is too much stuff going on for a black screen. This should have been animated.
