Before I actually crack open Daggerheart, I want to talk about a very important related topic: THE BOX. Because I had not been paying attention, it was only when I walked into Games & Stuff that I realized that the hardcover book came bundled with a box. I was very curious about this.

Holy crap. I hadn't clocked this yet, but apparently the blank Daggerheart maps can all be connected if you are so inclined. The little things in this game continue to astound and impress. h/t to r/daggerheart on reddit.

Seriously, FUCK Boundless. Writers, do not publish with them. Agents, do not submit to them. Bookstores, do not carry their books. Any company that thinks torching this many authors will result in being able to “continue publishing and rebuild trust” is delusional and deserves to die.

Unbound/Boundless owes me $15k+ on a book that in its first royalty reporting cycle had sold around 3k copies of its 5k copy print run of which I have not seen a single penny. They also haven’t even reimbursed me for postage costs I incurred mailing out the arcs in the US at their request
