Cursing. "Damn" and "bastard" are probably the worst words I've thrown in anything I've written. I won't even say them myself; my parents didn't want us kids swearing and even at nearly 40 I don't see a need. Like any word, there is a time and place, and I feel swearing is a crutch over substance.

Really excited to be working with an editor come December. Writing has always been something I've done on the side for my leisure, so having a firm deadline gives a lot more weight to getting everything polished up by then. #WritingCommunity #Writesky

#SeptemberWorldBuilders 15. I counted and I've got 4 different scenes involving the MC on a boat. The first is my favorite, where they come across another vessel inhabited by the undead. It's eerie to begin but very quickly turns horrifying, indirectly introducing one of the antagonist's powers.

Being told I shouldn't info dump in the first chapter of my book. Problem is that I'm the kind of person who looked up the lore of video games and would read the wikis for fun. Also I'm supposed to trust that my readers are intelligent. The politcal climate suggests otherwise. #WritingCommunity
