#JanuaryWorldBuilders So I accidentally did this. It's fantasy, and while everyone "speaks" in English there is one part where I wrote the elves speaking in their language. I explain what they say though. Except in one part which only I'd know. Problem is... I've also... forgotten. Oops?

The best part of a year ending and a new one starting is knowing I get to make corny "see you next year" and "I haven't seen you since last year" jokes. Just had an employee ask to take a half day. Naturally I responded by saying "well that means you've taken half the year off." Love it.

I don't think Amazon quite understands the "fewer deliveries" option that they offer. Dropping off a box at 12PM and 7PM might as well have been a delivery on Friday and Saturday. No emissions were conserved, and if anything was more wasteful since a truck was probably in my area yesterday anyway.

Anyone else work(ed) for a company that encourages you to let go, or poorly compensate employees, who are either near the top of their pay bracket or been with the company the longest? Seems weird that knowledge and loyalty are arguments can work against an employee.
