My arm fell off!" gag. Impressive feats, but somewhat clownish, like something out of Circe du Solei🤸‍♀️

Depends on the story. My mystery, I ended up writing timelines for my MC, my Big Bad, and a red herring. Fantasy, I wrote diaries for my MC and LI, but just kinda guessed the rest. HermitageWIP flowed a little easier. For all, though, I wrote an outline after the draft so I could organize edits.

Hm... don't think I've seen much of this. I find it hard to see animals as directly evil. Malicious or obedient to an evil master, maybe. More often they may be "ominous", as in an omen. I DO love an ominous animal. I do have a demon cat in my fantasy, but she's not exactly evil. She's just... cat🤷‍♀️

#QueerPrompts One of the major issues in the fantasy is about people caught in the crossfires of war. It's YA, so it's not real vivid, but parts are heartbreaking. War is a background factor in the mystery, but a bit distant. Not really present in the story.

See... the problem with this is that I always fear I won't get any story ideas to begin with. Im not afraid of running out any more than the desert is afraid of running out of water. That's its natural habitat. It's afraid the rain will never come again.

Part of me is just, like, Im so sick of perfecting my books. Ive wrung every single drop of joy out of the process of writing them and obsessing over them. Ive chewed well beyond the point of losing their flavor and are now just rubbery in my mouth. I just want them off my desk and on a shelf!

Jack- Vengeance binds a person to those they hate and creates a destructive cycle. Justice is the superior route to peace. (But he IS human.) Charlie- You know, a little petty revenge can be a real hoot😈. Piss me off and I'll piss you off for fun. But big things should be about Justice and healing.

#Bookvember This trilogy of novellas really took me by surprise. It really felt like a unique voice and the world was so far off in a different direction for fantasy-scifi than I was used to. I loved the world and especially the MC's marriage of tradition with the new.
