Since this seems to be asked in good faith, I don’t think most criticism of Israel is antisemitic, but inflating its authority to make it responsible for every US war in the Middle East, going back to George W Bush, and the winking nod to “Israel’s lobby in America,” plays on tropes of Jewish power.

I hope those on the left praising Joe Kent for saying “Israel, its American lobby, and the media” caused the Iraq War AND US intervention in Syria understand that if you believe Israel has that much power over the US, you can’t also believe Joe Biden could have done more to stop the Gaza genocide.

I think one good reason to point out this isn’t true is that he’s already looking to “take over” Cuba. Pinning his choices on Israel really allows people to talk around all the killing being done in the Caribbean in pursuit of that goal.
