It's #hobbystreak day 51, I managed to prime Lady Malys, do a rough sketch on the PC to figure out my intended colour scheme and make a start on the armour.

#hobbystreak 50. I have assembled Lady Malys into sub assemblies. I love the model so I want to push myself on this one a bit, but it's ultimately intended as a gift.

My trench backdrop is actually finished, and fits nicely in my light box. This was a great little project and I learned a tonne. And now I get to use it to take action shots. I think next up I need to paint an actual miniature though. As a treat. #hobbystreak 49 #paintingwarhammer

I made a very short horror game as part of the Galway Global Game Jam site. You play a small child who has awoken from a nightmare and has to make it to their mother's room at the far end of a long and scary corridor, armed only with... well, your arm.

January was not a good month for me. But those little moments when I was able, I chipped away on my own little diorama for the competition.

I return to regular #hobbystreak updates. Days 46 and 47, I've been working on greenstuff sandbags. I think they came out ok!

A real quick one tonight for what is actually #hobbystreak 45. I knew it was magic, but I didn't expect Agrax to do this to my wooden pieces. Also day 1 of #ggj26 at the galway site was a lot of fun

Primed up the foam and the inside of the door. Next up is the doorframe and some sandbags. Having a raised base like this will give me more space around the miniatures to help frame photographs. #hobbystreak day 43 I think.

On #hobbystreak day 43 It can be surprisingly hard/wildly expensive to get foam in Ireland which is why I asked the builder to leave the offcuts when I got my insulation done 4 years ago. I've sealed it with pva and pasted some cardboard inside the doorway.

#hobbystreak day 42 and my little trench backdrop is coming along nicely now I think. I need some sandbags for the top of it, a base to raise it up and to do something with the foam inside the doorway, and more painting of course, but I think it will serve its purpose once I do all that.

#hobbystreak day 41 and I'm starting to put a bit of paint in the wall section. Just some very messy colours at the minute

#hobbystreak day 40 Multiple layers of primer/pva have made the main part of the trench tough and shiny, also started painting the boards with a thin brown wash

#hobbystreak day 39, just some thin pva with a bit of primer in it to start sealing this part. Also ran DnD so I'll have to do this again later.

#hobbystreak day 36 Decided I want to make a trench to pose my Krieg models on. I've done a quick mock up in GIMP and worked out the dimensions I want it to be and made a list of materials I think I need.

#hobbystreak day 35 finished up Watchmaster Arend and Min E tonight. So that's the full squad done! Had a lot of fun with it tbh. Not sure what to do next. I've an Escher gang from 2017 on the pile, and an idea for a trench diorama piece. Have to think about it.

Anraith is the Irish word for soup. 'Soup' in wargames means an army composed of multiple factions. The eldar corsairs are a soup of other eldar. The eldar word for corsairs is Anrathe. Someone at GW is making puns in Irish. I love this. #warhammercommunity
