Almost done

Continuing on with all the projects, just all over the place honestly. Finished base coating the Terminator, finished a Tormentor, and panel lined one side of two rhino chassis.

Two more Tormentors finished and fit on the base. I need the last one at the back in place to ensure the rest can fit nicely. Also no real reason for it but I wanted to paint a marine, so I picked out a terminator.

Cracked the case on this one, they only ever came with one attack bike, old eBay listings confirm it. I'm gonna get inventive so!

Heyo #Nerdlings, any old Epic 40k heads here? I got this old clamshell of bikes and attack bikes, but it only included a single attack bike. There's 5 bases, so would it normally be 4x3 bikes and 1x2 or 3 attack bikes? Help me know if I'm missing something here, thanks folks!

They should make a language and character set called Ratakana that lets you talk with rats. That's what we need these days.

Another tormentor finished, and 3 more in progress from last night. Trying to plan out placement and texturing on the bases so it all fits with no mistakes.

I may be more resin than man currently - three separate characters built, Hibou Khan looks fantastic. I did make time to finish the bases for the Glade Guard, they look great as a block!

Finally back home, and I've plenty of plans to get projects moving over the next while, but it's important to go step by step. First Tormentor finished, and shaded the rest of my Glade Guard. Gonna slap mud texture on and move back to the cavalry.

No painting today, but I'm writing a lot more still. Since social media is screaming into a void, I figure I'll just scream a lot at once in a dedicated screaming room, also known as a blog post. I aim to be as verbose there as I am here.

Took a while but all 20 Glade Guard are base coated! Highlights can wait, I want this lot on the table sooner than later.

Working to have all my Kings list at least battle ready, so I've 5 Tormentors base coated and ready. Still a ways to go but I think this conveys who they are quite well.

It's been a rough day, but my elves are coming along. I managed to spill not one but two bottles of paint (agrax and Black Templar contrast) to top it all off. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Back out of the house, might be the last week I subject people to very poor lighting. More wood elves, and some Nightstalkers too, trying to just work to get base coats and shading done. I forgot some paints this time, but there's plenty to do regardless.

Getting my Wild Riders mounts blocked in, and building up the bases for my Nightstalkers. When all is said and done, I'll have 1500 points ready to play!

Base coats on the first Sister of the Thorn, plus the rest of the Tormentors assembled and basing planning. Little bastards are a nightmare to fit in place but it'll be worth the pain.

One week later and nearly 20 Elves are... Just base coated 😭 Not even all of the model I skipped the cloaks! But they do look good all together now.

The irish presidential election is basically now between "dog fighting transphobe" and "woman who destroys children in soccer matches" I will be voting for Connoly in support of her war on childrens egos.

It's been a real "sit in darkness for 20 minutes to prepare to do one thing" kinda day. I also forgot to post yesterdays Elves! 3 more batch painted.

This whole 'reading' and 'holding a book' thing is not too bad honestly, I might have to give writing a go sometime.

Another 4 Elves finished. Would be 5 but I broke a piece and will need to finish her later. 7 left to go, then cloak, washes, and basing.

Woke up early and decided it's time to change my life and make 'actively hating a toy company' my entire personality, as man has been destined to since the dawn of time. I'll let you know which one later.

Lighting is awful for photos, but that's 7 elves mostly base coated. The cloaks will be a batch job. The goal is 18, so 10 more to go. I'm glad I can make good progress outside the house at least.

I've decided to call it Elf-tober, and try to get as many of my archers done as I can. Unfortunately, I forgot some paints leaving the house. Oopsies. I'll pick pots up tomorrow.

Got a bit wrapped up in painting and experimenting last night, trying to differentiate my Wild Riders and Sisters of the Thorn. I like the contrast between them a lot. Also, 2 more Tormentors.

All the projects! My Scarecrows are finished, I built the hull of the Abbess, and a couple of Tormentors assembled too. Finally, I have wanted to repaint the eye lenses in my older SM helmets for a while, and got 2 squads touched up.

Getting home later to pop 2 Tylenol and paint Warhammer until 4am, gonna be a wild time!

The lighting isn't great for photos, but I got all 10 scarecrows mostly done. Few spot colours I need to add that I forgot to put in my bag.

Batch painting all my Elves to figure out their overall paint scheme. I might wash the deer fur a bit more but the red feels right. I plan to do my Wild Rider stags in a darker colour to differentiate them.

Nightstalker Banshee done in an hours speed paint before bed. I've painted for so long, it's fun to remember what a 'quick' paint job is sometimes.

Back at home again for the weekend, bit of a rush to get these Soulflayers built and ready while I can. I'm really loving all the opportunities for multi basing, just tons of great ideas

I'm about halfway through Book 3: Galaxy in Flames for Horus Heresy, and I've so many questions about specific events. Think I'll be doing research about what books serve as prequels / side stories to read next.

I made a little guy in an art class. May have been thinking about Moopsy a little. The antlers were a hold over from drawing random shapes, but I think he's just a fun little guy.

I forgot to take a photo before I packed everything away but I got another layer across all the Khorne Hounds. Picked out all the grey scaly bits. I'm great at social media lol, just imagine I did it instead of seeing it! That's how words work anyway lol

Few more bits before I'm out of the house again - my Scarecrows regiment is fully base coated, though not finished, and the same for my Alchemist and Azeb for trench crusade!

James Workshop is driving me mad, give me Suboden Khan and if you can't then tell me when he's out I have a MIGHTY NEED FOR SPEED!

Speed painted my Horror tonight and got all the colours down on my Scarecrows, I nearly forgot my Horror is in the army lol I'll leave the Scarecrows to finish next weekend, but the army is painted up to 1k points in it's entirety! I didn't think I'd be doing it so quickly.

I got home after a long week and all I wanted to do was paint for 12 hours lol But look at my Butchers, they line up perfectly!

Been trying to find time where the room I can paint is free, but it's basically impossible lol The good news is, I bought some T-shirts and I'm down to Large from XL 😤
