Many people are upset about the recent death in one of Alberta's hospital waiting rooms, rightfully calling on the government to do more. The problem is-the Alberta government has said repeatedly they are doing something. Their answer is consistently privatization.

Canada has lost its measles elimination status today. Undoubtedly, part of this is because of misinformation. But it does not explain the whole story here, and simply attributing this public heath failure to misinformation absolves those in power of their contributing role.

Today, The New York Times has published a story eviscerating Danielle Smith and her provincial government's response to the measles crisis in Alberta. Interestingly, Deena Hinshaw is interviewed for what appears to be the first time since she was fired.
