We need electoral reform. When the current system distorts results, it shuts people out. It reduces accountability, discourages working together to help Canadians, and rewards division. Proportional representation would fix all that.

Campaigns are built from the ground up, by grassroots organizers, activists, and volunteers who do the hard work every day. Simon and Bianca are two incredible organizers who’ve helped power NDP campaigns across the country. I’m proud to have their support in this race.

Grateful for the support of Ray Funk and Don Cody. Ray took Prince Albert's values and a principled stand for peace to Parliament and beyond. Don served as MLA, cabinet minister, and Mayor. He showed you never have to stop showing up for your community.

Activists and organizers like Stacey and Sandra have done the hard work to build our provincial parties. Reaching beyond our base, opening doors, and bringing new people in, and training the next generation of organizers. That’s how we rebuild from the ground up.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Amanda Lathlin. She was a strong voice for northern and Indigenous communities and worked tirelessly to improve access to housing, healthcare for Manitobans. My thoughts are with her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Nowruz Mubarak. Nowruz is about new beginnings. As Spring begins, I’m thinking of all Canadians for whom Nowruz is a special day, especially in these dark times. May we find peace and brighter days ahead.

Eid Mubarak. Eid is a time of generosity, and community. I was grateful to join Iftars this month and witness that spirit firsthand. As we celebrate, many are also thinking of loved ones affected by conflict. I’m holding you in my thoughts and wishing for peace and safety

Pat est la femme ayant siégé le plus longtemps comme députée provinciale dans l’histoire de la Saskatchewan. Après la politique, elle est allée en Afghanistan pour aider des femmes à prendre leur place, puis à les mettre en sécurité. Son appui compte énormément pour moi.

Pat is the longest-serving woman MLA in Saskatchewan's history. After provincial politics, she went to Afghanistan to help women participate in public life, then fought to get them out of the country to safety. Pat Atkinson's support means so much.

To deliver for people, we need to win more seats by reaching beyond our base and showing working people we’re their party. It’s been so great meeting New Democrats across the country over this campaign. Here are a few nice moments from Toronto.

Canadians, especially those with loved ones in Lebanon, are in despair as the Netanyahu government deploys its Gaza strategy in Lebanon: Infrastructure destroyed. Residential homes bombed. Hospitals hit. Over a million people forcibly displaced. (1/7)
