For the past few months, Pete Fry has been very lukewarm about running for Mayor of Vancouver. But at the UBCM conference, he’s seemed much more open to the idea, and supporters in other municipalities are talking him up to me. Here’s my story on the speculation, and what comes next.

Having to follow laws meant to keep people, including kids and families, FROM BEING KILLED, feels like “bullying” to some people who frequently and blatantly break those laws. Guess what I think of that.

In the past, local politicians in B.C. were split in how they talked about mental health, crime, downtown safety, and all those overlapping issues. Now, with one voice, they’re saying things need to change.
