“A Haitian asylum seeker held for four months died Monday at a Scottsdale hospital due to complications from an infected tooth.” It seems the infection spread from his tooth to his lungs, and he developed the pneumonia that killed him. In other words, ICE allowed a prisoner to die of a toothache.

one thing i have noticed is a lot of folks do not seem to understand the difference between a presidential election and 435+ legislative elections. i have seen any number of people say that you could subvert the outcome this november by targeting “swing states,” which does not make any sense.

While this is for new organizers from @prisonculture.bsky.social it’s an excellent reminder to veteran organizers. In these times (see why I did there?) we must all be grounded in the hope of what’s possible so we can continue to work for it and build it.

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc... Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

Gotta say it. The hashtag #ICEOutForGood was made to appease people scared to say Abolish ICE out of fear of being accused of being down with abolition. People saw the heat the defund movement took. If they’re out, where are they going?

So much analysis of the video of the murder of Renee Wood. A narrative was spun with no evidence to convince us that there was no wrongdoing. Then Vance said the ICE agent has absolute immunity anyway. The video analysis won’t change their lies nor the minds of those who believe anything they say.

The continuous reference by Vance to Renee Good as that woman shows how they have no compassion and quickly dehumanize people. It’s offensive as hell

Keep this energy for killings by cops too. The culture of policing (power driven) creates the opportunity for reckless disregard of life like what we saw today. The Trump Admin encourages this wild behavior. Remember what ICE did in Chicago? They also want to take down those who challenge them.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy. She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.
