Great news for us, bad news for the Ellisons

California AG Bonta and the coalition now move to turn the TRO into a lasting preliminary injunction. This is what happens when someone actually enforces the antitrust laws.

The Trump DOJ waved this through in June. The state AG coalition didn't. Judge Martínez-Olguín granted the TRO because the merger "would likely lessen competition and harm consumers." Plain language for a plain problem.

The was a really fun movie. I enjoyed it.

The AGs are only focusing on theatrical pipeline, and owning all 50 cable networks in one company.
