Revisiting Taiye Selasi's short stories and I am newly wowed by them. The way she bends language, the symmetry of her story telling, the quiet building and layering of emotion. It reminded me of just how beautiful literature is. Really needed that.

Getting to walk to work every morning feels like such a gift. For the hopefully short time I'm here, I get to walk on the same route I took as a primary school kid. It's doing something (good?) for my mind. Can't wait to see if it shows up in something I create.
