This has been a crazy publishing year so far. Six short stories published in 3.5 months, a story out every 2 weeks for the last month and a half. And if that sounds unsustainable, I can assure you it is. I only have one more short story scheduled for publication for the rest of the year 🤣

#bookreview no.7: The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. This book is a page-turner, but the best part is its investigation of a very unusual villain. Atwood balances three unique voices alongside gripping world-building and plot with mastery. Prescient, timely, and, I expect, timeless.

One of the biggest differences my partner and I have had to overcome in our relationship is our attitudes toward putting cheese on things. I come from a cheese-maximalist culture (Wisconsin), while in their culture (Dutch) cheese use is subject to strict traditional norms, and never in excess.

I’ll say it again, but man, some of the best stories I’ve read recently are flash fiction and this one by @katharinetyndall.bsky.social in @adventitiouswords.bsky.social blew me away.
