Since I’ve been Mayor there’s been a seven-fold increase in employers paying the London Living Wage and an almost 60% increase in the London Living Wage. It’s great to see more than 4,300 London businesses supporting their workers by paying them a decent living wage.

Some politicians and commentators continue to denigrate London and talk our great city down, but the facts show a very different picture. The number of homicides in London in the first nine months of 2025 was lower than in any year since monthly records began 22 years ago.

Perception of runaway crime partly blamed for ‘driving away the super-rich’ but in reality some high-profile offences such as watch theft are falling

Glad to see Nigel Farage has finally remembered Nathan Gill, former leader of Reform in Wales - found guilty of taking bribes from Russia. Maybe he'll now remember how much he took from Putin's propaganda broadcaster Russia Today for all his TV appearances when he was a MEP?

This is a lie. There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years. But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

She was arrested for holding a sign reading: “I do not support the proscription of Palestine Action” How that would warrant arrest is very unclear. I wonder if the police here even understand the boundaries of the bizarre law they’ve been forced to enforce.

There is a long tradition in European art in portraying happiness; with Albert Marquet's depiction of the Dune de Pyla near Arcachon, on France's Atlantic coast (1935) he has created a picture the mind can play in.

For the first time ever, London has met legal limits for nitrogen dioxide. When I became Mayor, we were told it would take 193 years. We did it 184 years earlier than expected. Cleaner air means a healthier city and big savings for the NHS.

Keir Starmer's aides are reportedly telling him not to go to the COP30 climate conference, because Reform would attack him for it. Yes, they might. And he should wear it as a badge of honour. Standing up for humanity, for science and a habitable planet. Where's the hazard in that?

Reform’s plan to deport hundreds of thousands of migrants with legal right to remain wouldn’t save the UK money – it would collapse services, rapidly shrink the tax base and cause an economic crisis that would make the £234bn look like pocket change.

I am sickened by the relentless demonisation of refugees. No refugee underfunded a school. No refugee closed a hospital. No refugee took away support from the sick and disabled. We need solutions not scapegoats. Stop blaming refugees and tax the rich instead!
