it takes a very special person to pull it off, but you can have a hobby that you monetize and not destroy yourself though it. art is very much so that for me, but i recognize it is *extremely difficult* to pull that balance off and i'm only able to strike that balance because i have a ft job.

As a 40-year old furry artist I am here to teach the young ones an important lesson called "you gotta get a hobby that you 100% cannot monetize no matter how hard you try because you're gonna try and then it's not a freakin' hobby anymore"

I said goodbye to my lil mister Cj this morning. Got to hold him the entire time, soaked his little head in kisses and tears. I'm going to miss him so, so fucking much.

So um... update- Cj's not in a great spot breathing wise, and uh.. I'm going to say goodbye tomorrow. I'm so, so utterly fucking grateful for each and every one of you. I wish I could- I wish I could hug every one of you and tell you how much your help means. He's my whole heart, my little star.

Cj is staying overnight at the emergency vet. Mostly because of his heavy breathing. They're redoing bloodwork to make sure all is correct, and doing an ultrasound in the morning. They also have a better medication for him to go on for the danger of blood clotting that is -much- safer for him.

Hey guys we're at the emergency vet ahead of schedule today, Cj's breathing hard and has a scary cough- isn't himself. I'll try to keep you posted.

I am sorry for being annoying, I know I'm being a certified pest about this. I'm just not doing well at all, and I appreciate the patience you're giving me. I don't talk about it here very much, but dealing with a combination of ocd/anxiety/depression sucks major nuts when some shit goes down.

Hi everyone, I've been a bit of a hot mess. On Friday Cj went to the vet for what seemed like a minor issue. What came back from testing was terrifying. Long story short, he has an extremely large liver and- whats even scarier- the highest blood platelet count two vets have ever seen.
