On the subject of graphic novels: I picked up Eva Müller's Plouquette in Marseille at the end of summer and would really recommend it to French readers! It's about work, class and adolescence in West Germany, published by small press Editions Même Pas Mal. I hope it's translated into English soon.

I don't think we've had any graphic novels submitted for Fiction, which is a shame! I am a huge graphic novel fan, so publishers are missing a trick - though of course all submissions will be scrupulously judged against the objective standards for literary excellence that we teach at Edinburgh 😌
