This seems the (important) flip side to recognising that co-creating isn't for all students: it's important that students who participate don't become a clique. Though true of a whole bunch of things for which students can put themselves forwards eg open day ambassadors or student reps #LTHEchat

I think the students are experts in their own learning, and they have experienced a lot of teaching, so will know what works for them. Getting to grips with why “boring” aspects of the curriculum can be a challenge (thinking of students saying during dissertation “now … makes sense”) A2 #lthechat

A3. #LTHEchat Provide support for some small initiatives as pilots, with interested staff and students. Start small, get some wins (whatever they may be) and then fund the design of more scalable models to incorporate required UDL elements etc.

A3: Boundaries, guidance, examples. Funding! There are many situations where paying students to work on the work is only fair. Provide tools - we use Mentimeter for staff and student surveys and its anon functionality and ease of use is key to inclusive research and high response numbers. #LTHEchat

Issues / clashes with hierarchies of power. It may be challenging to balance the level of guidance and providing the solutions to the project #LTHEchat

A1: You cannot guess the student experience, you cannot infer it from your perceptions, or even your data. You can only make a space in which you can hear it and give it space to breathe. #LTHEchat
