I adored tonight's performance of A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY! We enjoyed some deeper cuts like "Lovely, Dark, and Deep" from FFXVI and "The Airship Blackjack" from FFVI. My favorite piece was a beautiful rendition of "Close in the Distance" from FFXIV. @ffnewworld.bsky.social ✨

Not entirely related, but I've been thinking a lot about how Square Enix handed off the mobile game to NetEase when they knew they were working on Octopath Traveler 0 which was certainly going to have an impact on revenue for the service.

It feels weirdly surreal that the niche PSP fighting game, Crossover, Ys Vs. Trails in the Sly, got a remaster over a decade later …and that I get officially credited for doing some minor testing for proofreading the text in the fan-translation back during COVID.

Many moons ago, in the nascent stage of my career, I did a small amount of scenario editing for what would become the Geofront's fan localization of Ys vs. Trails in the Sky. Now that project has finally coalesced into an official, sanctioned release. I'm grateful to be credited alongside this team.
