Found this stunning Anthopleura ballii on the shore. I’d never seen a green one before. Read up on it: they have a Green Fluorescent Protein which gives them this very striking emerald colour. More reading to do… #ukmarinelife 🦑

Just after first light & only part of the shore was exposed but there’s always something to see. I found these Twin Fan Worms (Bispira volutacornis) who were happy to tolerate my photographic efforts & didn’t vanish into their tubes. #rockpooling #cornwall #UKmarinelife 🦑

What I think is a Small-eyed Ray (Raja microocellata) egg case. Found on N Cornish coast, UK The most beautiful burnished bronze/gold colour. Felt full so I’m hoping it will hatch out & be swimming in the bay later in the year 🦑

What joy & delight to see three Grey Wagtails feeding by a stream on the Ashford Hangers in @southdownsnp.bsky.social Only one in this short video clip. The other two were feeding & calling round a little wooden bridge just upstream
