I've posted this before, but it feels pertinent again to say this run of movies is so deeply influential on me and how I view storytelling as a whole. My parents had been big fans since they were released, and all but one were constant fixtures on our TV rotation. RIP Rob Reiner. All time great!

NGL, at this point, I find myself more drawn as an editor to fiction in 3rd person than 1st. Tense dosen't matter so much, neither does limited vs omni perspective, but I think there's a part of me that yearns for author voice separate from character. Maybe just because I see fewer people trying.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

I've never in my writing career had the kind of year where I felt compelled to do one of those end of year wrap up threads, but I think I might this year. Not yet, though. Still (at least) one more release on the docket!

LOVED this! It is kinda aimed right at me (one long, run-on sentence! a WriterCamp shoutout! big, open-hearted appreciation and love for ART!), but I love how it wrestled with many of my own frustrations with Gen AI & the world but also reminded me of my love & wonderment for people & creativity.
