Following his decision to allow Waymos on Market Street, Mayor Lurie announced this morning that Uber and Lyft will now be allowed to pick up and drop off on Market.

fyi – SF's speed cameras will begin issuing fines starting tomorrow. Speeding is the #1 cause of severe and fatal crashes on our streets, and early data shows that daily speed warnings are dropping up to 34% at some intersections. These cameras are slowing down our streets and saving lives. 👏

Mayor Lurie’s decision to permit AVs onto Market St makes the corridor significantly more dangerous for people walking, biking, scooting, and taking transit. Kid Safe SF, the SF Bicycle Coalition, SFTR, and Walk SF joined together to denounce this decision and advocate to keep Market St car-free.
