Been playing a lot of Haste by @landfall.se recently. Fantastic game, 10/10, would reccomend. Today i achieved a real milestone though. After 70 hours of rougelike rng antics i finally found a combo of items that fully, dead ass, broke the game:

Monday's game night was 'roll and write' night for me personally. Started with Welcome To, then Ganz Schon Clever, and finally Cartographers. Please excuse the names of my cities/housing developments. If you put me on the spot, im gonna go with 'The lord fart of ye ol buttville'... i yam what i yam.

Oh man! Dream game design project: Take the gloomhaven game system, and set the campaign in terry pratchet's discworld!! The city is ahnk-morpork! Character classes like: the night watch, the witches, the wizards, the old barbarians, death, industrial revoloutianary, etc. It would be SO much fun!

Today I had my mom over for mother's day brunch, wrote a nodeJS web scraper and successfully got data back, played Jaws of the Lion with the GF and finally, set up a PS2 emulator on her computer so she could play Kya: Dark Legacy, (a game from her childhood that only she remembers). Pretty good day.

Hey boardgame bluesky! It looks like protoATL 2025 and unpub 2025 are on back to back weekends at the end of march this year... which one should i go to? Or is there another event i ought to be targeting instead? Halp!

Proof i went to orange theory today and worked out for the first time in ... LITTERAL years. I hated it. I'll probably go back. Bonus pic of jam. Because we made raspberry jalepeno jam last night and we have SO much.

MAN! UFO 50 is brilliant! What a stylishly packaged little tour de force of game design, sticking an aesthetic, and world building. Ive just scratched the surface on this collection of delightful little games but im coming back for more! Favs so far: Bushido Ball, Campenella 2, and pilot quest.

Oh, i forgot! I also briefly saw @socksmagocs.bsky.social at pax U when he flagged me down outside the convention center. I was caught witless and prattled on about drugs the whole time. Ha. Awesome to run into you man! My b for being so awkward. See ya in 6 weeks! #gottagofest #magfest

Pax U follow up! 1/3 Spent saturday morning in the unpub hall playtesting Dance Shuffle. I got some good feedback from many including @adammichaud.bsky.social and now know the direction i need to take it, but its gonna take a rebuild (for the better)

While youre sitting around with the fam in the next day or two dont sleep on low/no component games. Today we played 'fishbowl' (you might know its government name: monikers). So fun! And i had 'head of household', 'categories', 'contact' and 'french toast' on deck too. Fun doesnt require a box.
