Other than that while I thought it kinda suck expedition 33 overshadowed other games, people online took it way too far acting like it still wasnt a major accomplishment an independent studio was able to sweep the awards like that

I hate the online reaction cycle that praises a piece of art a lot and uses it as an example of what’s good about the medium but then the moment it gets awards or enough acclaim or fandom, suddenly we have to talk about how it’s actually not really that good and it’s overrated and always sucked

I do also think of all things a new Divinity game was like one of the few things that were worth the hype of the arg-like teaser for it. Like considering just how successful Balder's Gate III was and now they can do *that* not restricted by DND is super awesome

Announcement wise tho I am surprised there was a decent amount of games that looked cool. New Tomb Raider like the older games, that racoon game that reminds me of a modern conker / gex type of deal, and the old lady game with the giant ass chicken monster is cool af.

I’m seeing a lot of nostalgia for the Old Days of Minecraft and on one hand, I can understand appreciating the simplicity, especially with how bloated the game kinda is now. But also… one of the biggest criticisms of Minecraft at the time was that you ran out of things to do too fast lol
