Navy JAG. Prosecutor. 9th Generation Kentuckian. Running to represent every Central Kentucky family.
Great to get out to Berea last night and join the We Show Up community. When I’m in Congress, I’m committed to serving all of the amazing counties and communities in the Sixth. It’s inspiring to see folks so energized, and it’s clear Central Kentucky needs bold, new leadership in this moment.

Proud to have earned the endorsement of With Honor, an organization dedicated to helping elect veterans who have pledged to defend our democracy, regardless of political party.

Unions helped build this great country and its middle class. We need to keep fighting for them in Congress. It was great to hear directly from union members themselves this morning at the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 452 HQ and learn about the issues impacting them here in Central Kentucky.

Medicaid and SNAP are essential programs that keep families fed and health care affordable. In Congress, I'd be a vote to fully fund both and lower costs for Kentuckians.

Kentuckians are hurting, and tariffs are making it worse. I'm running to advocate for the corn and soybean farmers, bourbon distillers, and so many others are suffering from this senseless trade policy.

Bourbon, spirits industry suffers 'significant downturn' after record year for exports
The U.S. spirits industry, including American whiskey like bourbon, has seen steep export decline in light of President Donald Trump's tariff policy.

I swore an oath to the U.S. Constitution, not to the whims of a president. This kind of lawlessness is why I couldn’t stay with the DOJ, and why we need to demand better of our leaders.

Always enjoy hitting the road across the district! This week we were in Mt. Sterling and Versailles. So grateful to learn from local officials, community leaders, and future constituents!

The first veteran I ever met was Ted, my next-door neighbor and surrogate grandfather. Ted was a Marine in World War II in the Pacific Theatre and fought in the Battles of Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. He didn't talk much about his time over there, but what he did tell me had a profound effect on me.

Last night, I met Kelly from Fayette County. Kelly’s spouse is a dedicated public servant and current furloughed federal employee. Kelly told me that while she and her family are having to tighten their belts during the shutdown, she’s willing to make that sacrifice if it means that other... 🧵

Had a great evening talking to the Estill County Democrats in Irvine last week. Just like other Kentuckians, they’re sick of business in usual in DC, including the budget bill that’s threatening their own hospital, Marcum & Wallace, right up the street.

Amazing turnout Thursday night for the Woodford Democrats’ dinner. Great to see so many friends and make new ones; especially loved catching up my old teammate Rocky! Woodford County is fired up and ready to flip the Sixth!

Thanks to everyone who said hi on the beautiful fall day we spent at Court Days in Mt. Sterling. A great opportunity to talk with Kentuckians about the changes they want to see in Washington.

Thousands of patriotic Kentuckians gathered in Lexington this weekend to send a clear message: there are no kings here. Let’s keep this energy up! Only 379 days left in this race!

So grateful to watch these videos of hostages being reunited with their families in Israel. Praying for a larger and lasting peace.

When we started this campaign, a lot of folks said an outsider couldn’t win. That this seat was too red & not worth fighting for. Our first 75 days prove that KY-06 is ready for new leadership. And we're building the grassroots team we need to win.

Thanks to Mercer County Dems for having me at their meeting last night. People told me DC is leaving Mercer County behind. From the slow mail to the politicization of the military, Kentucky is concerned about the direction the country is heading. When I get to DC, I’ll help get us back on track.

Loved getting fired up with Dems from Montgomery, Clark, Powell, and others in Mt. Sterling last night. Always great to hear my old Team Kentucky colleagues Lt Governor Jacqueline Coleman and Rocky Adkins speak, and to meet so many Kentuckians.

Spending resources going after political vendettas means less time and energy spent on real criminals. Take it from a former prosecutor – that makes all of us less safe.

The county hospital up the road? Threatened to close because of Big Ugly Bill cuts. 100+ jobs? On the verge of being slashed. Just like in the rest of the district, folks here in Fleming County are fed up with DC corruption making prices higher and lives worse.

I worked at the first Trump DOJ. I worked at the Biden DOJ. This administration is firing prosecutors, covering up bribes and the Epstein Files, and engaging in obvious corruption. We can't afford to stay silent. I'm running for Congress because we deserve better.

At the Bourbon Democrats picnic, an attendee James told me, “we want a candidate who will walk the walk, not just talk the talk.” Unlike Andy Barr, I plan to do just that. Thank you to Bourbon County Democrats for organizing!

I've sworn an oath four times. In the Navy and DOJ. I can think of nothing less American than silencing those who speak out – simply because they disagree. It's not just Kimmel. It's law firms, federal employees, and news networks. It’s cancel culture at its worst. And it has to end.

On this day, I think back to being in Washington, D.C. on a school trip on 9/11. My class had a Capitol tour planned that morning, and we stood outside the building as the news unfolded.

Last night in Madison County I met Sandra. She’s 77 and has to take insulin. She’s worked hard her whole life, and raised a daughter on her own. Despite that, she’s worried she’ll be losing her Medicaid. If she does, she’ll have to decide whether to buy food or medicine.

Weekends, the eight hour workday, good benefits, overtime, workplace safety. Today, we thank unions for that. And remind ourselves how much more we have to do to build an economy that actually works for working people.

This is Fleming County Hospital. And thanks to @RepAndyBarr's vote to kick 200,000 Kentuckians off of their healthcare, it may have to close its doors.

I’ve dedicated my life to public service. But I couldn’t sit by as this administration goes after the rule of law – and the programs my neighbors rely on. That’s why I resigned from this administration. And that’s why I’m running for Congress.

Right and left, it's clear that Washington DC isn't working for folks in Central Kentucky. The Epstein Files – and the corruption they're clearly hiding with it – are just the latest example.

Nine generations of my family have lived right here in Kentucky. Our values run deep. Family, freedom, fairness. That's why I'm running for Congress. Because that's not what we're seeing from Washington D.C. right now – but it's damn well what we deserve.

This is why people hate Washington. Empty promises to help us. Endless giveaways to the rich that leave the rest of us behind. Kentuckians deserve better than this. We deserve a lot better than Andy Barr.

When I decided to run to flip KY-06, political insiders said they didn’t think we could raise the money to compete. Y’all... we raised $160k in just three days. We’re sending a message loud and clear that this district is on the map. And we’re going to win.

Most Kentuckians don’t wake up thinking about politics. I certainly don’t. But I do know that our communities are getting screwed by what’s going on in DC right now. I know we need a fighter, not a rubber stamp. That’s why I just announced my campaign to flip KY-06.

I served my country in the Navy. I fought corruption as a federal prosecutor. I resigned when I saw the Trump Administration abusing our justice system to benefit themselves. Now I’m running for Congress. Because we all deserve better.
