Having an ethical dilemma now, since in this version anyone will be able to make very scary images for crystallographers. This one reminded me of a few #MOFs... especially when you don't take care of keeping the solvent quiet in there.

I'm implementing some new #FourierTiler functions for my powderdiffy friends; after all single crystal diffraction is just a highly-mono-oriented powder diffraction, isn't it... pity for that nice diffuse "scattering" though 🍃 #Crystallography #TotalScattering #FourierTransform #BraggYourPattern

An interesting feature of #FourierTiler is that you can create mosaics resembling actual structures... and if you pick one that consists of a repetition of a single layer, the pattern is strikingly similar to a scientifically accurate one! #Crystallography starts when asking why they are different.

It's funny how academic writing led me to normalise words like "intriguing", "to perform" etc., while if I use "intrigante" or "performare" in Italian I feel like I'm straight out of a 15th century Republic of Venice or something like that. #Academia #ChemSky

While starting to memorize some korean words, I came across "study", 공부 (Gong Bu). I could bet it's related to 功夫 (Gong Fu or Kung Fu) which, as a former Shaolin student and teacher, I know it means "hard work" or "prolonged excercise". It cannot be a coincidence...
