Ontario insurers often spend more $ assessing injuries (so they can deny the injury) than they do treating injuries. Turn down rate is very high, people end up at a tribunal where very few succeed in getting the help they need. It's what happens when we are legislated to buy an inferior product.

I agree with house insurance it’s climate. I don’t know about car insurance in other jurisdictions, but I’ve had more experience than I ever wanted with accident benefits/car insurance and I know it’s profiteering, SOP fraud, and 2008 stock market losses they made up for on the back of claimants. 🤬
