#compsplatoon 11.0 impressions: * vBP is better at what it does now esp pack. Hitbox changes and HP bars makes it feel more consistent. Still struggles in backline mirror though * Tetras got what it needed all-around, might be crazy * Dynamo feels more rewarding not sure how good it is exactly

INKWAVE inspired league idea for #compsplatoon: Start out playing an SoS-style pool each week. Each week, align teams based on previous pool records. After a set # of weeks, teams are put in divs based on Elo. Div matches & playoffs work like LUTI but with 4 teams per group instead of 6. Thoughts?

Been researching INKWAVE, which is basically a JP SendouQ/LUTI hybrid. Format seems cool and I have some musings on how to implement some of their ideas in the west. I also think their definitions of range and roles are very neat and show the potential for diversity of thought in #compsplatoon

Neither of the statewide esports leagues that my alma mater plays in offers #compsplatoon, which is a shame because growing the scholastic scene only benefits the entire Splatoon scene by creating opportunities to showcase new players, and also analysts, coaches, and commentators.

To my CCA friends: watch out for Coyotes Black this season. Sibirrino, atlas, and Sunday provide a lot of firepower and experience, and Alex and Brines are strong team players who can round out a team really well.

After doing some tryouts, I think I would feel comfortable just playing the three minis in comp. I feel like improving on it is more intuitive to me than other stuff I've mained in the past. I'll probably play mostly zimi, keeping pocket vimi for good hammer mapmodes and kmini for dealing w anchors.

An idea I had today based on feedback for the CCA: what if there was a school alumni league for #compsplatoon where each team has its own farm system akin to north american baseball? Collegiate teams would have another incentive to play in external events to improve their player’s draft stock. (1/X)

Awesome seeing Riukun being able to get a result so quickly with the new mini. I think having a mint that can set up bubbles for both of them and having the combo of beakons and bubble is scary to fight against on paper - hope more people to try it in the west.

REALLY hoping the new mini splatling (which I assume will be abbreviated as rMini based on the announcement) fills a beakon support niche in #compsplatoon. Ofc one loses out on chip with no burst or hammer throw but that's what vSplash does best. The question is how does it compete with vShot?

New comp style I thought of for #compsplatoon that I call brawl. It's probably cheeks given I'm low-level but I wanted to design a comp built around a mini.

With the recent #CompSplatoon patch's hammer buffs, I've compared how both wellstrings stack up against each other. I don't think one is better than the other rn; more testing is needed. Much thanks to PinkPuffyPastry and her comp guide for providing the initial pros and cons for cWell.

Wondering if a comp like RedPen + vStamper + BlueDapple + GrayZap would work after the patch. Its main weakness is special power but you have three strong options for chip dmg in a dive comp, and no weapon in the comp is especially terrible at fighting.

I don't want to speak over advanced-level splat players when I say this, but it might be cool to have Great White and Hammerhead play SZ, and Mako and Lantern play all modes for SoS while keeping zones pref. for groups. Might be difficult to implement on the sendou website but I am not a programmer.
