I think I confused my estranged Trump loving father with asking how his retirement was going after not talking to each other in almost 6 years. I still feel angry towards him for how he treated me when I was outed as trans in 2019 by someone I knew.

Spent two hours salting my painting to then cover it in another layer of watercolor. Atleast now the texture of the sky looks more closer to what I want.

Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

I find it hilarious trying to fix one thing on an old photo of a sculpture I made years ago and the clean up brush keeps trying to pixelate the phallic like sculpture

"You are seen and you are loved" without the promise of safety or protection is a meaningless, hollow gesture. We need people to embody "You will be safe, and you will be protected." We need people to actually do something and stand up for trans rights. When all we want is to be able to exist.
