A 62 sq mile solar farm would produce about 15,000 to 25,000 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually. Enough to power ~ 1.5 million to 2.5 million homes for 1 year. Nah, instead let’s build something that requires 78,840 GW year to run.

Reform UK Repeatedly Refuses to Explain Why Nigel Farage Met and Posed with Man Criminally Convicted for Violent Attack on Anti-Racism Meeting at a Church – Byline Times Digital / Print Edition
For 18 months, Byline Times has attempted to get to the bottom of a photograph showing the party’s leader with far-right activists. Now, this newspaper’s findings cast fresh doubts on Farage’s claim that he refuses to associate with extreme elements of the populist right. Josiah Mortimer reports

The issue isn't whether or not Farage deserved that £5m - although with his Brexit costing the UK Treasury £250,000,000 every day, he doesn't deserve it - but why he was so desperate to keep it secret and if he should have declared it. Fortunately his supporters' opinion on that are irrelevant.

I'm ambivalent about Labour. They 100% deserve the kicking they're getting from challengers on the left. But Makerfield feels like a Martin Bell in Tatton moment, when Green/LD should stand aside to let Burnham defeat Reform. Fight it out after. But don't split the progressive vote and help Farage.
