Made a moth trap over the weekend out of an old bucket, funnel, tall bedside lamp. Did about an hours mothing 21-06-25 results 15 micro moths plus macros were Map-winged swift (x2), The clay, Bee moth and Silver-grounded carpet (x2). Still haven't ID'ed number 2 on the pic #moth #teammoth

Good success with the UV torch in the garden last night: 4 Copper Underwing (Amphipyra pyramidoides) caterpillars feeding high up on apple & willow trees. Rubbish photo of the one on willow but shows how well it stands out - it was hard to spot under conventional torchlight. #TeamMoth
