A friendly reminder that the NRA has advocated for gun-based violence against the government for decades. Their entire 2nd Amendment shtick has always been about fending off government tyranny. When they finally get the chance to show convictions, they lick the boot.

I think a lot of us get hope wrong. Hope, I do not believe, is an emotion. In fact, hope makes space for lots of emotions to exist alongside it. You can DO hope scared, angry, sad etc... Hope doesn't find us. We make hope through action and struggle. It's a practice of living and is re-made daily.

A couple new linocut prints by me. The Audre Lorde quote is from “A Litany for Survival, no. 42” (I learned this poem had a number attached to it today when I listened to a recording of the author reading it!). The Fanon quote is a paraphrase of something he said in *Black Skin, White Masks*.

As a person who writes about law enforcement violence, I watch these things when I must, but they are terrible and don't honor the victim, who was a person with a full life.

No you don't need to watch a snuff film.

You have to take their money. Period.

Like those before it, that insane, vile DHS statement about the Minneapolis shooting isn't about covering anything up. It's performative lying. They aren't trying to persuade anyone that their agents did nothing wrong. They're trying to project that their agents can get away with anything.

I learned linocut this year, with my first lesson by @laurachenault.bsky.social in May, and then watching reels by @cactuscloudsart.bsky.social . The pink eraser art challenge in October solidified stamp-carving as my new obsession. I’ve now carved 209 stamps! These are some of my favorites.
