I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as an LLM, is in fact, Harness/LLM, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Harness plus LLM. LLM is not a consumer product unto itself, but rather another expensive component of a fully functioning text-generation system made useful

Not having to write plotting code rules it feels like star trek to ask the computer to plot stuff for you and it appears.

Georgia Republicans are falling off an electoral cliff... If it keeps up, Georgia won't be a swing state for all that long. It'll look more like Virginia and Colorado than Wisconsin.

something deeply cursed about the "People and Culture" committee (renamed from DEI or whatever a year ago) Q2 email sent out today including blurbs on flag day and July 4th but nothing pride related. Juneteenth is there though so that's good

opus 4.8 so far seems a lot more likely to run a bunch of shell commands (that normally require approval) than write a single python script the way 4.7 would. interesting

is there a music streaming service whose recommendation algorithm does better at filtering out AI slop artists than youtube music's? getting real tired of skipping absolute garbage from random anime avatar artists with more albums published in the last two months than total subscribers

i find this framing so tedious & immoral. incarcerated trans people are the trans people most in danger right now. that is reason enough to fight, not merely because it'll affect others in the future. smacks of the "after coming for trans people next they'll come for women & gays!!" thing libs love.

claude code just helped me dissect some acer DLLs to identify the right VCP codes (weren't showing up in things like ddcutil, presumably the monitor doesn't actually report it as a capability) to change color profile modes without having to push buttons on the OSD or horrible windows util. hell yeah
