It feels very weird being a professional woman in my late 30s. Who still feels culturally and socially at home with folks in their 20s. But is also currently going through the equivalent of 16 year old puberty.

And it’s done! Ended up adding a 3D printed hinge rather than just bolting someone into it (for, ugh, ‘safety’) with a pull pin for the closure. Works great, very sturdy, and easy to get someone into and out of it.

Likewise, have you ever sat down and really thought about what you need from your car? What you like and what annoys you about it? What makes it easier or harder to live with? IDK, it just seems to me that "most" modern cars (in the US) are designed to be okay at everything but great at nothing.

I don't think you realize how heavy your car is until you've driven a properly light one. My Mazda6 (3200-ish lb, 188 hp) is pretty sprightly, edging on sporty in an economy-daily-driver sort of way. But my Alto Works (1500-ish lb, 64 hp) is *so much* quicker to respond to steering input.

I've said this elsewhere, but reading about modern IC car engine tech (Miller cycle, HCCI, etc.) reminds me very much of late-steam era locomotive tech (turbo-electric, water tube boilers, etc.) - absolutely bonkers, best we'll ever see versions of a technology which we already know is outmoded.

Ironic considering my last post, but hear me out: Are there outfits which would be simultaneously "work appropriate" for a somewhat casual office (think polo and chinos), but also littlespace-friendly? In my case feminine, but feel free to make masculine suggestions for others.

Tired and thinking about how "SFW age regression" is kinda funny if you think about it. Like if you regressed at work, you'd probably be breaking some combination of child labor law and OSHA regulations. Truancy? Is your workplace now in loco parentis? IDK, but it seems pretty unsafe for work!
