Heard a nice piece today Bluebird by Alexis Ffrench (two Fs) Bit similar to the theme tune from Transparent In the spirit of nice Bluesky sharing, and I imagine people know this but even if one person hears it for the first time it’s a win - Shostakovich 2nd piano concerto second movement.

Half way through #Yellowstone season 1. Reminds me of a horse riding holiday I took on my own with my two sons, then 15 and 13 in Colorado. All big vistas, eagles and humming birds. Did white water rafting. In Denver got upgraded to the hotel penthouse that had two kitchens and a grand piano

No popularity contest, no magic wish. Just two clouds ofloneliness converging in a clap of thunderlight, a starlit dream to cradle us till next winter.

But the purest memory is the storybook moment when we stood there, rain-drenched girls, elbow-high, and for once we became the characters we pencilled to paper like prayers as she asked the question every ten-year-old soul wants to hold in her heartbeat forever: can we be best friends?

I once commissioned a comedy called Monkeydust, when I ran BBC3. Someone called me about it yesterday wanting to chat. Random one but wondered if anyone on here remembered it. (I wouldn’t post things like this previously as I couldn’t be bothered with moron responses but Bluesky feels different)

It searches the users you follow *over there*, detecting if they have a BlueSky acct, then you can follow them all on here with one click of a button. Nifty.
